This 12″ single released in support of Hall & Oates’ ‘Rock ‘n Soul Part 1’ greatest hits album features the #8 pop hit “Adult Education”. On the flip-side is “Maneater” which hit #1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 on December 18, 1982 and held the top spot for 4 weeks.
The “Jingle Bell Rock” 12″ promo features Daryl Hall on lead vocals on Side One and John Oates handling lead vocals on Side Two.
The first single from ‘Rock ‘n Soul Part 1’ was “Say It Isn’t So” and it was a dance-floor smash, topping the Hot Dance/Disco chart for 4 weeks. It also debuted inside the Top 40 its first week on the Hot 100. The song eventually climbed to #2 where it spent 3 weeks before slipping down the chart, held out of the top spot by Jackson/McCartney’s “Say Say Say”.
